Claude's letter to his insurer

Dear Geoff,

Words can not express the gratitude my wife and I have for the wonderful service you have given me during my illness.

To have gone the extra mile to have [My Insurer] pay out my life insurance before my passing has been such a relief and a comfort to myself and my family.

To be able to relax and have peace of mind knowing our mortgage has been finalised and funeral expenses paid, I have no words to tell you how much it means to me.

When I first met you I was only in my 40’s and never dreamed that at the age of 55 I would have been diagnosed with non Hodgkin’s lymphoma. I have never smoked and haven’t had a drink of alcohol in 21 years. I had always lived a healthy life so why did I need life insurance in my 40’s? I am very glad that you convinced me that it was necessary and you steered me in the direction of [Insurer].

Money won’t buy my health back but it gives me great comfort to know that my family has been provided for.

I would recommend to any one to have life insurance and not leave their loved ones in a position to lose their partner and then have the grief of losing their family home as well if payments can’t be made.

You are truly a man of your word and it was a wonderful day indeed when you personally handed me a cheque from [My Insurer] as you always said you would.

Sincerely,

Claude Ivan Howard
